Flight cancellation leads to change of engineer at Fullwood

BRAD Jones Racing will be without veteran engineer Phil Keed for the 2024 Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint.

Keed and Middy’s No. 14 Camaro driver Bryce Fullwood are in their third season together, but that partnership will take an unscheduled one-lap break this weekend.

Keed’s return from the United States has been interrupted by a canceled flight, meaning he will not arrive at Wanneroo Raceway in time.

As a result, BJR promoted data engineer Jason Bonney to take charge of the No. 14 car, although engineering chief Paul Scalzo is in radio communications.

Fullwood are 20th in the championship after a difficult run at Taupo.

Repco Supercars Championship action in Perth begins with Practice 1 at 2:20 p.m. local time (4:20 p.m. AEST).
