A-League betting shock: three players arrested in raids for attempting to manipulate yellow cards

The captain of A-League club Macarthur FC has been accused of paying two young teammates up to $10,000 to deliberately receive yellow cards in a scheme allegedly orchestrated by his South American connections.

Team manager Ulises Davila and fellow players Kearyn Baccus and Clayton Lewis were arrested for their alleged involvement in the betting scheme, which police say led to hundreds of thousands of dollars being paid out in winnings.
