Kartik Aaryan’s maternal uncle and aunt Manoj Chansoria and his wife Anita died on May 13 following a hoarding accident in Mumbai. A dust incident caused a fence in Ghatkoper in Mumbai to collapse, killing 16 people. Kartik’s maternal uncle and aunt also died. Kartik had attended their funeral in the city.

Meanwhile, there were speculations that the trailer launch of Kartik’s film ‘Chandu Champion’ would be canceled in Gwalior. But a source told ETimes, “Kartik is grieving over the accidental death of his uncle and aunt, but has refused to cancel the trailer launch of Chandu Champion which is happening in his hometown of Gwalior.”

A source close to the production house further revealed the real reason why Kartik did not cancel this event. “Kartik felt that the hard work of three years to make Chandu the champion by the entire team should not be affected by his personal heartbreak, so he told the makers to move forward as per the plan,” the source said.

Kartik’s first look in ‘Chandu Champion’ indeed shows his hard work and physical transformation for the role, which left everyone stunned. The film is directed by Kabir Khan. Kartik is currently shooting for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
