NJ Transit said train service to and from the Downtown Transit Center was suspended starting around 6:15 p.m. due to power issues. Amtrak reported that its train service between Philadelphia and New York was “temporarily interrupted.”

A number of trains or services between New York and Philadelphia were canceled Wednesday evening. Amtrak said it plans to return to a regular service schedule by Friday morning. NJ Transit said train tickets and passes will be honored by PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken and 33rd St. in Manhattan.

On Tuesday morning, travelers faced similar delays due to another downed cable.
