Following the release of its third season, The Experts: Las Vegas has been completely removed, meaning the series will not receive any more episodes in the future.

According to a report from Deadline, The Experts: Las Vegas (with So help me Todd) had the lowest audience of any CBS series released in the spring.

Given the number of shows under the CBS umbrella, low viewership was likely a key factor in why The Experts: Las Vegas has been cancelled.

Another report from Deadline also revealed that the series’ budget could have also played a role in getting the CSI spin-off canceled.

Naturally, since there are many different CBS series, a lot of money has to be invested in each one, and if certain shows don’t perform as they should, they could cost all parties involved a lot of money.

It is also important to mention that this report also detailed that The Experts: Las Vegas will not be added to the Paramount+ streaming service anytime soon, which further indicates that the show is not considered profitable at all.

CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach addressed recent cancellations (including The Experts: Las Vegas). As shared by Variety, Reisenbach said the decision ultimately came down to “finances and performance” shows, while admitting that the cancellations were “difficult choices” that they were forced to do:

“It’s up to us to always keep a schedule up to date and keep the momentum going. We’ve had to make some very tough choices this year. It all came back (from the Hollywood strikes) very strong, but ultimately we have to look at team cohesion as the schedule unfolds. We have to evaluate finances and overall performance, and we make tough decisions.

What’s next for the CSI franchise?

Although there were many others CSI repercussions in the past, Las Vegas was the only one currently airing new episodes until its cancellation.

This means that, for the moment, no CSI shows are actively broadcast.

However, fans shouldn’t worry at all. THE CSI the franchise has proven to be incredibly successful and beloved by many, and Reisenbach even revealed that there are plans for it to continue at some point.

In a report from Deadline (link above), the president of CBS Entertainment said that CSI “is alive and well” and that CBS is still “in discussion” to know where to go next:

“I really think this franchise is alive and well and we continue to talk. It’s part of our legacy.”

The Experts: Las Vegas is now streaming on Paramount+.
