Meet the cast of ‘NCIS: Origins’

NCIS: Origins is coming to CBS soon and it’s time to meet the cast. In the new prequel, fans will be taken back to 1991, where a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Austin Stowell, is a new special agent at the newly formed Camp Pendleton during the NIS era. He joins a ragtag team of agents and fights his way under the command of the legendary Mike Franks.

As of yet, no premiere date has been announced for Originsbut it will arrive this fall and will replace the canceled one NCIS: Hawaii on the calendar. Once Stowell was officially hired to play young Gibbs, the casting news just hasn’t stopped and agents old and new will be featured on the show. Additionally, while Mark Harmon won’t be playing the fan-favorite agent, he will narrate the series and serve as executive producer alongside his son, Sean Harmon. Austin Stowell

Austin Stowell will play Leroy Jethro Gibbs in 1991. The actor is best known for The secret life of the American teenager and, more recently, Peacock’s A family friend. Other credits include Public morality, three women, bridge of spies, whiplash, swallowAnd The Hate Game.

Mariel Molino

Mariel Molino will play a new character in the franchise, Special Agent Lala Dominguez. According to Deadline, she is “a former Marine who navigates her male-dominated field of the 1990s with iron determination and a dark sense of humor.” When a tormented Leroy Jethro Gibbs joins his team, the ensuing story between these two enigmatic underdogs is filled with sparks and twists that will keep audiences guessing. »

Molino is best known for The Watchful Eye, Promised Land, The ShadowAnd Dead man’s switchas well as Spanish language projects Papis Muy Padres, El Juego De Las LlavesAnd Narcos: Mexico.

Kyle Schmid

Kyle Schmid also has big shoes to fill. Reprising the role of Muse Watson, the actor will play Special Agent Michael “Mike” Franks. Via Weekly EntertainmentFranks is described as “a true born and raised Texan with a strong mustache and an even stronger will.”

Schmid, who is expecting a baby with his wife Caity Lotz, is best known for Six, Copper, Being Human, Accused, CSI: Cyber, Death Row, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Pacifierand more.

Tyla Abercrumbie

Tyla Abercrumbie will also play a new role in the franchise as Field Operations Support Officer Mary Jo. According to Deadline, she is “both a product of her times and the lifeblood of the Camp Pendleton office.” With all the acronyms floating around the agency, this mama bear ironically nicknamed herself “HSIC”: chief secretary in charge. If you want to know where the bodies are buried, you should ask Mary Jo.”

Abercrumbie is best known for Chiwho just returned for season 6. Other credits include Utopia, Proven Innocent, We Grown Now, The Big Leap, The Mob Doctor, The Porterand more.

Diane Rodriguez

After it was announced that Vera Strickland would be returning to NCIS franchise, the rumors turned out to be true when Diany Rodriguez was cast as a special agent. Replacing Roma Maffia, Rodriguez’s portrayal will see “a pragmatic, quick-witted Brooklynite who is tough as nails and never minces her words. She has spent her entire career being underestimated by misogynistic jerks (like her calls them), but if it’s a fight these good old boys are looking for, then it’s a fight they’re going to win.

Daniel Bellomy

Daniel Bellomy will recur as a new character, Special Agent Granville “Granny” Dawson, a young probationary agent, who is cutting his teeth as an assistant to the evidence keeper, while looking forward to rising through the ranks to to become a field agent. according to Deadline.

He is best known for Power Book II: Ghost, Blue Blood, CostumesAnd A question of time. Other credits include FBI: International, The Crew Has It, The Good Fight, Paint, Outcast, The Deuceand more.

Caleb Martin Foote

Caleb Martin Foote will also recur as new character Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf. He’s “the agency’s overly adorable golden boy. He’s been tasked with showing new Agent Gibbs the ropes, so luckily this father of young twins is trained in patience,” according to Deadline.

Foote is best known for Made for Love, Kids Are Fine, American Horror StoryAnd American crime story. Other credits include A nightmare in the locker room, RiptideAnd Todayamong others.

Robert Taylor

Longmire Star Robert Taylor will recur as Gibbs’ father, Jackson Gibbs, originally played by the late Ralph Waite. Taylor is also known for Bones, Days of Our Lives, Kickin’ It, All My Children, Murder, She Wrote, Silver CityAnd The pursuit of happinessamong others.

Patrick Fischler

American fiction Star Patrick Fischler will recur as new character NCIS Special Agent in Charge Cliff Walker. He “oversees NIS Pendleton’s newest office. Constantly seeing his little-known agency pushed aside by bigger fish, Walker puts his career on the line to earn NIS Pendleton the respect it deserves,” according to Deadline.

Fischler can also be seen in Mad Men, Happy!, Mulholland Drive, Lost: The Story of the Oceanic 6, The Mill, The Lincoln Lawyer, Barry, Night Shift, Once Upon a Timeand more.

Julien black antelope

Last but not least, Julian Black Antelope will be recurring as Chief Medical Examiner Kai Blackrock. He “is at the top of his game, working in the busy San Diego County ME’s office. Although he appears unfazed, Blackrock’s complicated ties to the NIS force him to confront his own vulnerabilities,” according to Deadline.
