DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — During a traffic stop, officers discovered narcotics with an estimated value of $3,000.

On May 31, Darke County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Chevrolet for a speeding violation. It happened around 9:45 p.m. on State Route 49 near Kilbourn Road in Van Buren Township.

During the traffic stop, officers say criminal indicators were noticed and a Greenville Police K-9 unit was called to the scene. The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, triggering a search for probable cause.
