Rosario Dawson explains World between worlds Scene in Ahsoka

During an interview with Weekly Entertainmentactress Rosario Dawson shared the difficulties she experienced while filming the World between worlds scene in Ahsoka. She pointed out the actors’ tight schedule which affected their training period.

We actually didn’t really train together. Once filming started, it was almost impossible to get together. It was just a crazy schedule, but that was actually what made it a little fun.

I think (fight choreographer Ming Qiu) had something weird about wanting that moment to really be on camera than anything else..

She noted how “the scenery was so wild” and how unusual it was for them because they were shooting on the Volume and they could see everything from there. In this particular scene they had a somewhat bare area.

The scene took two full days to film. She said they had “this magnificent podium and the people watching us.” Regardless of the stress, she joked: “It was quite a spectacle, I must say.”

The actress praised the entire creative team for working their magic despite the improvisations. Dawson claimed it was “magical to see what they ended up making it look like” after typing it up and having the actors perform on a long strip of platforming.
