Second month of Maria J. King’s Shadow Box exhibition inspired by three authors

ROCKPORT — The second month of the Maria J. King Ghost Box Exhibit at the Rockport Public Library runs June 2-28 and includes a new collection of 50 boxes inspired by the literary efforts of three intertwined authors: John Banville ( Irish), Vladimir Nabokov (Russian-American) and Robert Stiller (Polish).

Several of the new boxes also nod to European realist painters.

The public is invited to meet King at his artist reception on Friday, June 14, from 3 to 5 p.m., on the first floor of the library.
