Emmerdale legend defends Tom King in new video as Belle reels | Soaps

With Amelia Spencer (Daisy Cambell) under abuser Tom King’s (James Chase) spell in Emmerdale, her friends and family have been hugely concerned for her.

After failing to get through to her about the danger he poses to her after his abuse of wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), Amelia has pushed those closest to her away out of loyalty to her new boyfriend.

Steadfast in her belief that Tom is innocent of the things he’s been accused of, there’s a showdown between her and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) next week, as our spoiler video reveals.

Forthcoming scenes see Belle receive news that her father Zak Dingle (who was played by the late actor Steve Halliwell) has taken ill off-screen.

As Belle and Chas chat in the Woolpack back room about the family politics involved in caring for sick Zak, Amelia overhears a comment about Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) ‘taking him out’.

Wrongly believing they are discussing Tom, Amelia thinks they are about to set violent Cain on her boyfriend and gives Chas and Belle both barrels.

Amelia retreats after realizing her mistake, but a riled Chas demands she ‘show some respect’ and orders her to leave and Belle reels from her loyalty to Tom.

Will some tough love finally get Amelia to see the truth?

Elsewhere next week, Belle is stunned when she makes the discovery that Tom has been secretly filming her at Dale Head.

And after a long and emotional heart-to-heart with Lydia (Karen Blick), it looks like she finally has the courage to report her estranged husband to the police – but a terrifying situation lies ahead…

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
