Palace breaks silence on rumored treatment of Kate Middleton

A Reddit post and TikTok sparked rumors that Kate Middleton was seeking cancer treatment in Houston, rather than the UK, but it didn’t take long for Kensington Palace to completely shut down this treatment.

The Palace said The Houston Chronicle that Kate is not being treated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. A Reddit post alleged that Kate recently stayed at the St. Regis Hotel in Houston, leading a TikTok user to discuss the post.

Additionally, local news channel KHOU contacted the BBC, which told the outlet that royal sources had informed them that Kate had not left the United Kingdom since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Both media outlets contacted the MD Anderson Cancer Center, which was unable to say whether Kate was in attendance or not, due to patient confidentiality laws.

Kensington Palace’s comment on this theory comes after a palace spokesperson spoke about Kate’s return to work date last week. “We have been very clear that (Kate) needs space and privacy to recover right now,” the rep said. Us every week. “She will return to work once she has the green light from the doctors.”

Kate shared the news of her cancer diagnosis in March, after doctors discovered cancer during planned abdominal surgery in January.

“At the time, it was thought that my condition was not cancerous,” she said. “The operation was successful, but tests after the operation revealed the presence of cancer. My medical team therefore advised me to undergo preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of this treatment.

She asked royal watchers to respect her and her family’s wishes for privacy. “We hope you understand that as a family we now need time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said. “My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to returning when I can. But for now, I need to focus on making a full recovery.
