Meanwhile, on Olympic social media, the YOG generated 313 million engagements across official @Olympics channels. , making Gangwon 2024 the IOC’s most successful social media campaign since the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, with President Bach calling it “an unprecedented result for a junior event – ​​a resounding success that we greatly appreciate.” .

Television coverage of Gangwon 2024 also reached approximately 137 million unique viewers worldwide. The shift to digital platforms has led to a significant increase in digital consumption, with a 336 percent increase in minutes watched compared to previous YOGs, highlighting the changing landscape of sports media consumption and the growing importance digital streaming.
