‘Ghost’ arrested: Gervonta Davis stops Frank Martin in eight

LAS VEGAS – Gervonta Davis scored a sensational eighth-round knockout of Frank Martin at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Martin was competitive at first, but Davis started to take over, started measuring Martin, then clinically knocked him out. Referee Harvey Dock immediately waved it off.

Davis retained his WBA lightweight title with a scorching left hand and is now 30-0 (28 KOs). Martin lost for the first time and is now 18-1 (12 KOs).

The end came at 1:29 of the eighth session.
