AEW star sends message after apparently suffering injury

AEW star Buddy Matthews has now broken his silence after appearing to suffer an injury on AEW Collision.

Matthews apparently suffered a knee injury while teaming with Malakai Black and Brody King in a trios match against Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn and Juice Robinson.

After hitting a Meteora on Robinson, Matthews grabbed the knee before hitting Brody King.

After the break, Matthews was seen being helped to the back by the officials while King and Black continued the match, which they ultimately won following PAC interference.

Matthews was then shown in an intriguing angle, with the Patriarchy faction appearing on screen with Matthews on the ground, after an apparent attack.

It has been speculated that this angle was quickly set up to exclude Matthews from television, but it is currently unclear whether or not this segment was planned in advance.
