Who is the social media ambassador for Love Island USA season 6? Meet Cély Vasquez

Maura Higgins is no longer Love Island USA’s social ambassador, but the person taking her over for season 6 is another former islander.

One position that sets Love Island USA apart from the rest of the spin-offs is that of social ambassador.

The Ambassador is responsible for being the public’s main insider on what’s going on inside the villa and coordinates exit interviews with the islanders when they are dumped for even more tea.

The first person to take on this role is Maura Higgins, who you may remember from the fifth season of Love Island UK.

But, for season 6, she left her role and is now the host of the brand new series Aftersun. So who is the media ambassador now?

Love Island USA Season 6 Social Ambassador Cely Velasquez. On June 11, the popular influencer took to social media to announce the news.

“Heaven is a place on earth and it’s in Fiji!!! A million thanks to my family @loveislandusa for trusting me. Eternally grateful,” she wrote in the caption.

She may look familiar to you as she has been on our screens for years now.

After making her reality TV debut on the second season of Love Island USA, she returned to the spotlight on the first season of Love Island Games.

When it comes to her dating history, Cely hasn’t found much success in the romance department, especially in her on-screen journey. It was during season 2 that she met fellow actor Johnny Middlebrooks and they began a relationship. Not only did that relationship end, but it took a turn for the worse when they unexpectedly reunited at the Love Island Games.

Needless to say, Cely’s unique experience in the villa should provide an interesting perspective during social interviews. Time will soon tell how she fares in this role!
