Coronation Street fans have noticed a huge mistake in the ITV soap amid a new storyline with Rowan.

Cult leader Rowan grew closer to Leanne, but Toyah was always rightly suspicious of him. As a result, the Institute took action against Toyah for what she said about them, leaving her with a huge legal bill that she couldn’t afford.

Rowan then went further and decided to target Toyah and Nick after learning they were having an affair. He had someone take photos of them kissing and is now clearly planning to blackmail the couple for money to keep the secret from Leanne.

However, fans who watched the episode were left perplexed by an apparent mistake between Rowan and the photographer.

Nick and Toyah’s affair revealed

One fan wrote: “Why didn’t he just send Rowan the photos from the street?” while a second took to Twitter to share: “How come the private investigator didn’t get the photos? He could have saved some gas.” A third wrote: “So this guy went to such lengths to find Rowan, just so he could send him a photo from 2 feet away?”

Earlier this month, Rowan actor Emrhys Cooper warned that more victims would soon be targeted.

“I think he really wants to open another resource center, so he’s on a mission to raise the necessary investments, however he can do it. And he wants to ‘help’ more people, so he could there will be more characters that he will integrate into the organization,” he said.

He also revealed that his own parents were part of a cult for two years, explaining his real-life connection to the series.
