A suspected drunk driver was arrested after mowing down two cyclists on a road near the Dallas Fort Worth Airport.

Benjamin Hylander, 31, is accused of ramming his white Subaru SUV into the backs of Cynthia, 68, and Thomas Geppert, 69.

Shocking video showed the vehicle ramming Cynthia’s rear end before running over Thomas after knocking him to the ground.

The incident took place on Monday and was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by a user who confirmed that the driver did not stop to help the victims.

A Texas driver was reportedly arrested after mowing down two cyclists on a road near the Dallas Fort Worth Airport.

The video shows two cyclists riding side by side on the inside lane of the highway.

Suddenly, the Subaru emerges in the distance and rushes towards them.

The vehicle continued to bombard the road before hitting the back of one of the cyclists, throwing him onto the road.

The car then swerves and clips the other cyclist’s rear wheel, sending him sprawling to the ground.

The vehicle then drives into his limp body with first the front wheel then the rear wheel, crushing the man to the ground.

At the end of the clip, we see the car speeding up in the outside lane.

A witness said other bystanders managed to pursue the driver who was arrested.

The woman who shared the footage online said the cyclists are expected to recover.

She said the witnesses chased the driver and convinced him to return to the scene.

As police helped the victims, Hylander ran over, shouting “I’m sorry” at Geppert, according to the officers’ report.

“Hylander kept apologizing for running over Geppert,” the report states. “As Hyander spoke to us, his breath smelled of alcoholic beverages.”

Benjamin Hylander was charged with two counts of intoxicated vehicular assault and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

While searching his vehicle, cops said they found six cans of Voodoo Ranger beer behind the passenger seat.
