Meet the Baton Rouge Apparel Designer Who’s Helping LSU Players Prepare for Success

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Meet the man who had the opportunity to outfit many LSU players and built his business in over 40 franchises across the United States.

Nathan Pearce has worked in the clothing industry throughout his career, but began making custom clothing in 2019. He makes tuxedos, sport coats, pants, casual suits, dress shirts , chinos, overcoats and raincoats.

“I learned the ins and outs of the trade from a traveling master tailor from New York by traveling the country with him,” Pearce said. “I have partnered with some of the best tailoring workshops in the world who take care of cutting and sewing. I take care of the fabric selections and designs of products offered through our franchise system.

His company, Pearce Bespoke Franchising, has more than 40 franchises across the country and its main headquarters is in Baton Rouge.

Pearce explained that suits “start at just $900, our average price is $1,200 and the cost is based on the composition and construction of the fabric.”

“Our goal is to make shopping extremely convenient for customers,” Pearce said. “We do this by creating a service and going to the customer. Most of our customers are busy professionals, saving them time, their most valuable source is huge value addition.

Pearce has worked with several local clients, including lawyers, bankers, financial advisors and real estate agents. He also worked with some LSU student-athletes, including Emery Jones, Will Campbell, Malik Nabers and Jayden Daniels.

He said he already makes costumes for Daniels for many of his home football games, but Pearce had the opportunity of a lifetime to make Daniels’ costume for the 2023 Heisman Trophy ceremony.

“When he was announced as a finalist for the Heisman, his mother contacted me and asked if I would be interested in making a suit,” Pearce said. “Jayden chose the whole outfit himself, he was very decisive and knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted to keep it extremely elegant, so he opted for a three-piece suit with wide peak lapels and cuffed/pleated pants. Kind of a modern cut on an old-school look.

Pearce said the biggest accomplishment is the team he has built with his company.

“I’m very proud of the Pearce Bespoke culture,” Pearce said. “Our team is made up of good, hard-working people who care deeply about each other and our franchises. This makes me proud, but we have a long way to go. We always strive to help our franchisees be as successful as possible.

Pearce predicted his company will have “100 franchises in the next 12 months.”
