Strep toxic shock syndrome cases remain stable in Singapore: Ministry of Health

The Health Ministry said the number of cases of a potentially deadly disease, which has been increasing in Japan, has remained relatively stable here in Singapore.
Streptococcal toxic shock syndrome, or STSS, is a rare but serious complication of a bacterial infection caused by group A streptococcus. The ministry added that a surveillance system is in place to detect outbreaks of infection.
