Murder: Two more arrested for Harni murder | Vadodara News

Vadodara: The crime branch of the city police on Thursday evening arrested two more people in connection with the murder of a man in the city’s Harni area. The total number of accused arrested in the case now stands at four. According to police, brothers Jilani Sheikh and Umar Sheikh had been on the run since the murder. Jilani and Umar had murdered Abdulsajid Sheikh, a resident of Tulsiwadi, by stabbing him to death. Investigation revealed that Jilani, Umar and their third brother Avesh alias Uvesh Sheikh were involved in the murder, along with one Mohammedriyaz Pathan. Avesh and Pathan were arrested on Friday even as the other two accused were on the run. Abdulsajid was murdered despite marrying Jilani’s sister Umar and Avesh. This was the second marriage of the deceased and it did not go down well with the brothers who planned the murder. TNN
