CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to explore the wonderful animals available for adoption at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a variety of reasons, needing a new home and a second chance. So if you’re looking for a new four-legged best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and a wonderful companion.

Adoptions are now by appointment only, and it has worked very well. Donors have also helped by providing supplies and money, which is much needed to provide for the shelter’s homeless animals.

Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon is a loving boy who is a true Footloose explorer (heh). He is about 6 years old and would like to experience what a loving forever home is. Could you show him?

Roscoe

Roscoe is a 5-year-old mixed breed dog who came to the shelter as a stray. He’s a little shy, but once he has time to adjust, he becomes a really nice guy. He may require his potential adopters to meet him several times before returning home to establish a relationship. He loves getting treats! Roscoe likes to go out to the playground. Due to Roscoe’s shyness around new people and lack of history, an age limit for children in the home may apply, so please discuss this with shelter staff.
