Traditionally, people might have thought that cushy office jobs paid better than restaurant work, but TikToker @eatlovelivewithsusu says that’s no longer the case.

In fact, she told her followers that she would totally consider working at Panda Express after researching the conditions and salary compared to her office job.

According to Salary.com, Panda Express pays kitchen staff an average of $32 per hour.

And when she compared the working conditions to those of an office job, it was really quite surprising!

She said: “When you said you were done with food service, but office jobs pay $18-$22 and Panda Express pays $32…”

The food retail sector has lost staff during the pandemic and shifted to sectors that pay more.

But now companies are fighting back and paying their employees more to retain them!
