Prayers offered to journalists from the Basilica Media Center: They proclaim the light of Christ to society

On Monday, the feast of the Holy Trinity, a Doxology was celebrated at the Patriarchal Cathedral for the staff of the Basilica Media Center of the Romanian Patriarchate, an institution placed under the protection of the Holy Trinity.

Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop Varlaam of Ploiești stressed that journalists “undertake the task of announcing the Light of Christ to the entire Romanian society.”

Trinitas TV, Radio Trinitas, the Lumina newspaper, the Basilica Press Agency and the Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate “bring a lot of joy and hope at a time when every conscience is troubled by sad events and calamities who receive too much publicity.

“The Basilica Media Library highlights the positive events in the life of our people and our Church, which is appreciated by those who listen and watch the programs with great joy, because they bring peace, harmony and well-being in people’s lives. listeners, viewers and readers amidst the daily events of our lives,” His Grace added.

“We also prayed for those who support this media ministry of the Romanian Patriarchate in different regions of the country and for the beneficiaries of the Media Center, who are the listeners of Radio Trinitas, the viewers of our television programs, the readers of the newspaper and other Lumina publications, as well as those who follow the information presented by the Basilica Press Agency and the Press Office. »

“Thank you for being present, for praying and for giving thanks with all to the Holy Trinity for these gifts with which God has blessed our Church, an extremely necessary blessing in these times when communication is done by modern means,” declared the Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop.

“The Church has always been at the forefront of communications technology, having created the printing press and published numerous books, calendars and ecclesiastical almanacs for centuries. It couldn’t be left behind in those days.

“We therefore thank the Good God and those who work, and may this blessing be always present, active and continually renewed in our Church,” added His Grace Varlaam of Ploiești.

The festive Divine Liturgy and the Te Deum service on the feast of the Holy Trinity were presided over by Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop Varlaam of Ploiești.
