MLB World Reacts to Shocking Yankees Trade Rumor

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., New York Yankee? The Yankees might find this newsworthy themselves, but this week it was a topic of discussion. The Toronto Blue Jays star expressed a different stance than he previously held.

Guerrero once said he never wanted to be a Yankee. With New York leading the charge in the American League, while Guerrero’s Blue Jays sit in last place in the AL East, it appears things are changing.

Journalist Mike Rodriguez noted the conversation Guerrero had with Virus Deportivo in which he expressed that he was open to a potential trade.

Guerrero recalled comments he made about the Yankees, saying he would never want to go there. But his position was “softened,” as ESPN wrote.

“Sometimes we say things. It’s not that I’m trying to take back what I said about the Yankees,” Guerrero said via ESPN. “But it’s a business. I sat down and talked with my dad and my family, and it’s a business. And I said I would never talk about this subject again and a lot of people asked me about it.

It’s important to note that the Jays and Yankees currently have no framework for a trade. Intra-division exchanges are quite rare. But that also doesn’t mean it can’t happen. This is precisely where we reside.
