Concealed weapon found during traffic stop, passenger jailed on warrant

A concealed handgun was discovered by a Ceres police officer during a Friday evening traffic stop conducted for traffic violations, leading to the arrest of a Richmond man who was driving.

Police also arrested his passenger on warrants.

Ceres Police Officer Tyler Wilson was on patrol in the 1300 block of E. Hatch Road around 8:53 p.m. when he saw Perrione Pearson, 25 of Richmond, committing an illegal drive in a white BMW. Officer Wilson arrested Pearson and found the weapon during a search of the car. Perrione was arrested and booked into the county jail for possession of a concealed firearm in a public place.

Passenger Anhelica Lomax, 22, of Modesto, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
