BLACK GOLD have released a futuristic, Matrix-inspired video for their recently released single “Social Blackout.”

Taken from their recently released EP ‘Back With Another One’, the track is a commentary on the effects of social media on society.

Speaking on “Social Blackout,” the group’s Spookz shared:

“People are so addicted to having a good social media presence that they forget to be present in the room they are in, it’s like we are all looking for likes and stimulation through a screen, like in the Matrix. This is a scary time for humanity, we need to connect in person, we need a social media blackout to remind us who we are.”

The absolutely brilliant new video for the track comes courtesy of Mind Art Visual, watch it below.

BLACKGOLD played their first headlining concert at London’s Dome last May, and Rock Sound was there to capture the action. Read our full review of the evening here.
