Sir Jim Ratcliffe has offered Jadon Sancho to Manchester United’s biggest Premier League rivals – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United reportedly have a transfer budget of just £50 million and are desperately trying to offload several first-team players to boost their budget before embarking on their planned recruitment spree.

Summer recruitment includes top stars such as Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho, with the former Manchester City academy product attracting plenty of interest but no one has yet come forward with a satisfactory offer.

Borussia Dortmund want to keep him but do not have the financial means to meet United’s asking price, while Juventus and Barcelona are considering another loan move, something United are adamantly opposed to.

The England international is unlikely to return to Old Trafford now that Erik ten Hag is set to stay at the helm after the pair fell out last season and United must try to reach an agreement on a sale this window.

Sancho’s Future

Several clubs are aware of United’s need to sell and are determined to play the waiting game and wait to pounce when United agree to a cut-price sale or other temporary arrangement.

INEOS are growing increasingly desperate and according to Teamtalk, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has invited United’s fierce rivals – Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal – to bid for the 24-year-old.

United are reportedly asking for just £40 million and are even open to a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the mentioned price or realistic add-ons to be included to bring the final price up to the stated value.

“Manchester United are so desperate to offload Jadon Sancho this summer that they have invited their mighty rivals Chelsea and Arsenal to make a move, TEAMtalk can confirm – but Manchester City have also been approached over the prospect of a sensational reunion and with the appointment of Sir Jim Ratcliffe a new low price.

“Sources have told TEAMtalk that the teams in question have been informed that United would like a package worth £40million for the winger.

“They would ideally like to sell him this summer, but could agree to a loan with an obligation to buy for next summer, while they could even consider a structured deal that would see the figure met by way of a number of plausible bonuses and add-ons.

“And we’re told that United’s representatives have offered Sancho to Chelsea, with the management making it clear what price they would like to get. They are far from the only team to be offered a chance to sign him, as Barcelona and Arsenal have also been contacted.

Shock PL contenders

“However, the most extraordinary move saw United offer rivals Manchester City the chance to reunite with the winger, who left Pep Guardiola in the summer of 2017 for a fee of just £8million.”

United would basically agree to take a huge hit on their initial £73m investment in 2021 if there is truth to the report.

Furthermore, Pep Guardiola, who is as strict a disciplinarian as Ten Hag, is unlikely to bring back a player whose attitude issues were also raised during his time in City’s academy.

As things stand, none of the Premier League sides are likely to put their name in the hat for Sancho, who is among the highest earners at Old Trafford. It is a blow for INEOS who could be forced to agree another loan deal for a problematic player who has grossly underperformed in red.
