MICDS senior midfielder Willy Carpenter is the Post-Dispatch All-Metro boys lacrosse player of the year.

Josh Bertram, senior, SLUH

Bertram was a key part of the Class 2 state runner-up Junior Billikens’ offense. He produced a consistent stat line of 35 goals and 37 assists for 72 points, earning him first-team All-State and All-Conference selections.

Johnny Brison, sophomore John Burroughs

Brison was one of the best faceoff men in the area for the Bombers. He won 110 faceoffs and made 77 ground balls, earning him the nod for the Class 2 all-state team.

Steele Crissman, MICDS sophomore

Crissman was an offensive force for the Class 2 champion Rams. He led the state in scoring with 95 points on 41 goals and 54 assists, including 17 points in the three MICDS state tournament games, earning a All-State nomination.

Myles Garcia-Eidsness, senior, Priory

A key defensive piece in the Ravens’ run to the state semifinals. The Academic All-American recovered 66 ground balls and caused 34 turnovers, the latter tied for 10th in the region, leading to first-team all-state and all-conference honors.

Graham Labonte, senior student, De Smet

Labonte played both attack and midfield for the Spartans. The Class 2 all-state and all-conference first-team selection finished second on his team with 64 points, including five against Chaminade in the state quarterfinals and seven against MICDS in the state semifinals.

John Nicpon, student of Chaminade

Nicpon had a breakout offensive season for the Red Devils. He broke Chaminade’s single-season goals record with 68 and compiled 82 points to earn Metro Catholic Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors, as well as first-team All-American and Class 2 All-State nods.

Oliver was a leader of the Class 2 champion Rams’ stingy defense once again this season. He led the region in turnovers with 67 and also ranked in the top 10 with 98 ground balls, earning him an All-State selection.







Colin Pim, Priory

Colin Pim, junior, Priory

Pim was the only goaltender in the area to be named an All-American. He recorded 12 wins with a 6.56 goals-against average and 227 saves, which also earned him Class 2 All-State and First Team All-Conference honors. He helped lead the Ravens to the state semifinals.

Matt Robb, senior, Eureka

Robb had an exceptional season this spring with the Wildcats. He scored 59 goals and made 72 assists, in addition to recovering 26 ground balls, to earn a spot on the Class 2 All-State first team.

Marco Sansone, senior, SLUH

A defensive stalwart again this spring for the Class 2 Junior Billikens. Ranked fourth in the region with 49 forced turnovers and also recovered 78 ground balls while being named an All-American and first-team all-state.

Ian Spakowski, second year student at MICDS

Spakowski was a strong part of the Class 2 champion Rams’ attack. He was second on his team in goals with 56 and third in points with 69, earning him an All-State midfielder nod.

All-Metro Men’s Lacrosse Second Team

Jack Behl, junior, Lafayette

Behl had a remarkably consistent season for the Lancers with 22 goals and 22 assists for 44 points to earn a Class 2 all-state second-team selection.

Graham Faust, sophomore, MICDS

Still a solid season for the Class 2 champion Rams, with 35 goals and 20 assists for 55 points, along with 71 ground balls, to earn a second-team all-state selection.

Led the Class 2 runner-up Junior Billikens with 43 goals and finished second on the team with 53 points en route to earning a spot on the all-state second team as a midfielder.

Bryce Horner, junior, CBC

He had a solid offensive season for the Cadets, ranking third in the region in scoring with 83 points on 43 goals and 40 assists to earn Class 2 All-State second-team and All-Conference first-team honors.

Jack McManus, junior, De Smet

Finished seventh in zone scoring with 74 on 37 goals and 37 assists, while collecting 51 ground balls, part of a second-team all-state Class 2 campaign.

Mick Murphy, junior, Priory

Named to the Class 2 All-State Second Team and All-Conference First Team after a season in which he had 38 goals and 55 points for the Ravens.

AJ Russel, final year student, De Smet

Class 2 second-team all-state and first-team all-conference defender. Had 73 ground balls, 26 forced turnovers and scored key goals, including the overtime game-winner against Chaminade in the state quarterfinals.

Drew Stubblefield, senior at Eureka

Stubblefield earned Class 2 second-team all-state honors after a season between the pipes in which he recorded 12 wins, an 8.57 goals-against average and a region-leading 300 saves.

Jevonte Tiller, junior, Lindbergh

Tiller had an outstanding season on defense for the Flyers with 108 ground balls, which ranks him sixth in the zone, and 35 turnovers caused, which ranks him ninth, since he was selected as a player of the Class 2 All-State second team.

Henry Unger, Senior, SLUH

Unger was selected to the Class 2 all-state second team after a strong defensive season for state runner-up Junior Billikens that included 57 ground balls and 37 caused turnovers.

Leyton Usry, sophomore, Parkway West

He had his second strong offensive campaign in as many seasons, finishing second in the district scoring race with 90 points, ranking third in goals with 60 and leading the way with six points per game to earn a Class 2 all-state first-team selection.

All-Metro Men’s Lacrosse Third Team

Shane Bollen, junior, Chaminade

He had a strong season for the Red Devils with 24 goals and 34 points, including six goals in a state quarterfinal loss to De Smet, to earn a spot on the all-conference first team.

Nate Bridges, senior at Eureka

Bridges had a good season on offense for the Wildcats, scoring 55 goals and compiling a game-high 73 points to bring home a Class 2 second-team all-state selection.

Tanner Culleton, Sr., De Smet

One of the best players in the state, Culleton tore his ACL in the 10th game of the season, but still managed to stay in the top two in the region in points per game (5.3) and in the top 15 in the region in goals with 44.

Jimmy Farmer, senior, Marquette

Farmer had a solid final season with 45 goals, 57 points and 40 ground balls to help the Mustangs win the Class 1 championship.

Andrew Hayden, a senior at Chaminade

Hayden was named first-team all-conference after a season in which he recovered 48 ground balls and caused 15 turnovers on defense for the Red Devils.

Graham Lobdell, junior, Lafayette

Lobdell was one of the area’s top faceoff men with 149 kills, along with 60 ground balls and 10 goals, to earn a spot on the Class 2 All-State second team.

Jackson Meyer, junior, Wentzville

Had a good season with 35 goals and 22 assists for 57 points, along with 104 ground balls, which ranked seventh among all area players, as he earned second team all-time honors Class 2 states.

Brent Norris, Sr., Seckman

Norris had another strong season for the Jaguars, scoring 31 goals and 42 points to earn his second straight Class 1 all-state first-team selection.

Peter O’Leary, second year student, MICDS

O’Leary has been one of the best faceoff men this season with 189 wins and he also showed why by earning player of the game honors in the Rams’ Class 2 championship game victory.

Cooper Terry, junior, Kirkwood

Once again, he was brilliant for the Class 1 runner-up Pioneers, with 62 goals, including his 100th career goal, and 83 points (tied for third in the zone), leaving him just eight points shy of breaking the school scoring record with another full season to go.

MICDS senior Tyler Tschudy

Tschudy played a big role in the Class 2 champion Rams’ stout defense this season with 42 ground balls and 15 forced turnovers.
