Viral TikTok Trend ‘How to Show Off Your Bedroom Like a Cool Girl’ Explained

TikTok’s viral trend “How to Show Off Your Room Like a Cool Girl” is becoming one of the biggest trends of summer 2024.

It all started with a video Ellen Harold posted in February with the caption “showing him your room as a cool girl.”

In it, she showed her room with a framed photo and “some of my boards” that were leaning in one of the corners of her room.

Immediately after that, she hilariously jumped onto one of the surfboards by jumping sideways with her body weight on the bed.

She then pretended to surf on the water by moving her body, which caused the person behind the camera to burst into laughter.

The video has since been viewed over 18 million times at the time of writing.

It took a few months to recreate it, but many other people have since done so using the original audio from the clip.

And some of those who have done so have gotten tens of millions of views themselves.

TikToker grincesslera shared her perspective by pointing to objects on her wall, then jumping sideways onto a surfboard leaning against one of her bedroom cabinets.

She held herself up with one arm on the armrest of a sofa and even had time to look at the camera and extend her other arm as if she were surfing.

At the time of writing, grincsslera’s video has been viewed over 46.5 million times.

But one of the most popular videos, that of Christina Bell, has been viewed more than 120 million times.

Bell shows a picture hanging above his bed before pointing to a surfboard leaning in the corner of his bedroom before, more similar to the original, jumping sideways onto the board using the bed to support his body weight .

She even received a comment from Google on her post saying it was “quickly searching for surfing tutorials.”
