Rome men found with bags of drugs during traffic stop

Michael Eugene Ferree Jr., 24, Markese Markese Ferguson, 35, and Dominique Jontavius ​​Williams, 32, all of Rome, were arrested after a traffic stop near North Broad and Duke Streets resulted in police locating numerous bags of drugs.

Police said they found two bags of methamphetamine, marijuana and a digital scale.

Ferguson is accused of giving police a false name and date of birth in an attempt to hide his identity due to active arrest warrants.

All three are charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and distribution of marijuana.

Ferguson is also charged with providing false information to police, failure to appear and contempt of court.

Williams is also charged with obstruction and violation of a restricted driver’s license.
