PSG ‘set to break world transfer record’ by offering to sign Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, 16, to replace Mbappe

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are set to break the world transfer record with a £211 MILLION bid for 16-year-old Spanish prodigy Lamine Yamal.

The Parisian giants are looking for a new superstar after losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

PSG ready to break their own free transfer world record for Lamine Yamal

Mbappé has signed a five-year contract worth £12.8 million per year with Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old scored 256 goals in 308 games at the Parc des Princes and became the top scorer in PSG’s history.

But PSG are prepared to do whatever it takes to sign Barcelona superstar Yamal, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

Qatar-owned PSG ready to sell Barça £211 million for the signing of Yamal – breaking the world transfer record.

Moreover, PSG would shatter their own record after paying Barcelona’s £198m release clause for Neymar.

Yamal has scored seven goals in 51 games for Barca and is playing for Spain at Euro 2024.

PSG’s £169million bid for Yamal in March was immediately rejected by the Catalan giants.

Despite Barcelona’s ongoing financial problems, the La Liga side are clear: they do not want to sell Yamal under any circumstances.

Camp Nou president Joan Laporta has described the La Masia product as ‘untouchable’.

The Spanish giants are suffering from growing debt and poor management of funds by the board of directors.

Yamal’s contract with Barca expires in July 2026, so the Catalan giants are under no immediate pressure to sell.

And with age on his side, Yamal could have the potential to rival Lionel Messi’s legacy at the Camp Nou.

His release clause is set at £900 million.

Yamal is also represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes.

He became the youngest player to feature at a European Championship after starting for Spain against Croatia a fortnight ago.

If Yamal scores at the tournament in Germany, he will break the record for youngest Euro scorer, set by Johan Vonlanthen for Switzerland in 2004.
