IDF announces death of 2 soldiers, bringing death toll from ground operations in Gaza to 313

The Israeli army announced on Saturday the death of two more soldiers in fighting in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll from the ground operation in the Palestinian enclave to 313.

The two were named Staff Sgt. Yair Avitan, 20, of the 890th Battalion, Paratroopers Brigade; and Sgt. First Class (res.) Yakir Shmuel Tatelbaum, 21, of the 77th Battalion, 7th Armored Brigade.

They lost their lives in separate incidents in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City.
