Message from the Americas to Hamas for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – International Service: A source in the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) reported receiving a new message from the United States through mediators regarding the completion of negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

This source also added that the new US message includes minor amendments to two of the proposed clauses announced by US President Joe Biden regarding the ceasefire in Gaza.

The mentioned source stressed that a new action will be taken under the leadership of the mediators to bring the negotiations back to the starting point and after that, the negotiations will resume on the remaining issues.

Earlier, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced that Qatar and Egypt plan to hold talks with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) soon, in line with President Joe Biden’s plan for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Two Egyptian security sources recently said Hamas wants written guarantees from the United States regarding a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of Zionist forces from the Gaza Strip in order to sign the ceasefire plan. -fire supported by Washington. According to these sources, if there are written guarantees, Hamas will accept this agreement and Egypt is consulting the United States on this matter.

In addition, recently, the Hamas movement made reforms to the plan proposed by Biden and presented its response to this plan to the Qatari and Egyptian mediators, but the Zionist regime is against these reforms and considers that this means Hamas’ opposition to the Biden plan. Moreover, the Zionist regime has not explicitly announced its agreement with Biden’s plan.

According to the sources, the Hamas movement has proposed a counter-response to the ceasefire proposal prepared by the Zionists and presented by Biden. White House officials say that this administration is still evaluating this proposal and that there are significant differences between it and the three-stage proposal presented by the Zionist regime.

In late May, the President of the United States proposed a three-stage ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which includes the gradual release of Zionist and Palestinian prisoners, the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from the Gaza Strip in the first and second second stages, and the reconstruction of Gaza and the delivery of the bodies of dead prisoners in the third stage.

After Biden’s plan was announced, the Hamas movement said it would review it with a positive approach.
