This source also added that the new US message includes minor amendments to two of the proposed clauses announced by US President Joe Biden regarding the ceasefire in Gaza.

The mentioned source stressed that a new action will be taken under the leadership of the mediators to bring the negotiations back to the starting point and after that, the negotiations will resume on the remaining issues.

Earlier, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced that Qatar and Egypt plan to hold talks with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) soon, in line with President Joe Biden’s plan for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Two Egyptian security sources recently said Hamas wants written guarantees from the United States regarding a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of Zionist forces from the Gaza Strip in order to sign the ceasefire plan. -fire supported by Washington.
