Zara and Sam break silence with statement on their future after tearful argument

Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson have returned to social media following reports of a “fiery row”.

Sam was seen in tears at the TRIC Awards this week and had to be consoled by his best friend Pete Wicks. Sam and Zara are said to have had “crisis talks” about the future of their relationship after reaching breaking point. Zara is even said to have packed up and moved out of their Chelsea home to create some distance between them.

This weekend, the couple reunited to show their solidarity at a family event. They both attended a local sports day after being invited by Sam’s sister, Louise Thompson.

Zara, 27, shared a photo of the couple each holding an ice cream, while lamenting that there was no sprinkles on sale. She even tagged her boyfriend Sam, 31, who won the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! to deny speculation about their breakup.

Fears for the duo rose after Sam was pictured being consoled by his best friend Pete Wicks. The I’m A Celebrity champ reportedly had a furious exchange with Zara which allegedly prompted her to pack her bags and leave their house.

A source told The Sun the couple are looking to “work things out” following their latest setback.

Speaking about Zara and Sam’s relationship, the source said: “Since Christmas, Zara and Sam have been very busy with work and have had little time to see each other and as a result their relationship has taken a hit. suffered. They both wanted to make the most of their careers and say yes to every exciting opportunity offered to them. Last weekend the situation came to a head and they had a big argument. Zara had fuelled rumours they were spending time apart after it emerged she had been staying with her parents before jetting off to Majorca for a modelling job. She shared a snap of herself in the Spanish sunshine, with the caption: “When life gives you lemons”.
