Goodland 5-Star Linkon Cure Announces College Decision

GOODLAND, Kan. (KWCH) – Kansas State’s first 5-star football recruit in 15 years will announce today where he plans to play in college.

Goodland tight end Linkon Cure will make his decision at 4 p.m. between a list of finalists that includes Kansas, Kansas State, Texas A&M and Oregon.

Cure, a 2025 recruit, is the state’s first 5-star since East’s Bryce Brown in 2009.

He is the No. 2 tight end in the 25 class and the No. 26 player overall, according to 24/7 Sports.

Cure has visited each of its four finalists since Memorial Day.

Cure exploded onto the scene as a junior, recording 42 receptions for 946 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

He also helped the Cowboys win the 3A state title in basketball, averaging 11.2 points per game. Cure is also a two-time 3A 300-meter hurdles champion and won gold in the 110-meter hurdles this year.
