Flights cancelled: Bad weather leads to cancellation of 4 flights, delay of 34 others | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: Bad weather in Ahmedabad and several other parts of the country has caused considerable disruption at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport, leading to cancellation of several flights and major delays. On Tuesday, bad weather caused rotating delays in flight movements, leading to cancellation of four flights and delays to 34 others, including 12 arrivals and 22 departures. The cancelled flights include two flights to Mumbai and one flight each to Ahmedabad from Mumbai and Diu. The closure of Terminal 1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has compounded the problem. Several flights from Delhi have been shifted to Terminals 2 and 3, causing a ripple effect of rescheduled and delayed flights across the country. From Ahmedabad, four departures to Delhi faced delays and an inbound flight from Delhi was also delayed. Four international flights from Ahmedabad, including three to Dubai and one to Sharjah, were delayed. A Mumbai-bound flight from Jamnagar made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad due to bad weather.
