Cincinnati police search for stolen car that fled traffic stop

The Cranston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the vehicle pictured, which was reported stolen around midnight on June 21 in Raynham, Massachusetts, according to Cranston police. Around 4:16 p.m. on June 22, an alert was received by the Flock license plate reader system indicating that the vehicle had been reported stolen and was traveling in Cranston, according to a post on the Cranston Police Department’s social media accounts. “A Cranston officer located the vehicle containing two occupants on Elmwood Avenue and attempted to stop it,” police said. “The driver refused to stop and the vehicle crossed Warwick and struck the officer’s patrol car at the intersection of Manson and Warwick Avenue. The suspects were able to evade capture. Fortunately, the patrol car sustained only minor damage and the officer was not injured.” The vehicle was last seen traveling on Norwood Avenue.” If you have seen this vehicle, contact the Cranston Police Department at 942-2211.
