Shiba Inu Lead Developer Shocks Community With 13-Day Break

In a move that has the Shiba Inu community excited, lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has ended a 13-day silence on X with an exciting announcement. Kusama’s post, shared yesterday, highlighted a recent update from the organizers of the highly anticipated IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO.

Organizers stressed in a statement on June 27 that the event was imminent, with just eight days to go. Although tickets for over 250 side events had been sold out, the announcement encouraged enthusiasts to attend IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO to experience the full range of activities. “If you want to fully enjoy IVS, attendance is a must! Make your reservations now!” organizers urged.

Kusama, who had been silent since June 18, expressed excitement about the upcoming event in another post. Acknowledging her past reluctance, she hinted at a new chapter of active engagement and advocacy for Web3. Kusama’s renewed vigor signals a potential shift in her approach, promising more visibility and community involvement.

Gratitude was a key theme in her message, as Kusama thanked the IVS Crypto 2024 team for their patience. She looked forward to meeting other members of the Shiba Inu community at the event, marking an important step in strengthening bonds within the community.

New sponsor title for Shiba Inu

This announcement follows Shiba Inu’s awarding of Gold Sponsorship for IVS Crypto 2024. This sponsorship is designed to strengthen Shiba Inu’s presence in the Web3 space, providing opportunities for networking and forming new partnerships. As a Gold Sponsor, Shiba Inu will have a dedicated booth, showcasing its potential and driving wider adoption.

IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO, which will be held from July 4 to 6 at KYOTO Pulse Plaza, is shaping up to be a landmark event. Themed “Cross the Boundaries,” it is one of Japan’s largest Web3 conferences, focusing on the convergence of Web3, blockchain, AI, entertainment, and gaming. Notable speakers include Mo Shaikh of Aptos Labs, Ray Chan of Memeland, Serbastien Borget of The Sandbox, Jeffrey Zirlin of Sky Mavis, and Genki Oda of SBI Holdings.

As the event approaches, the Shiba Inu community is buzzing with anticipation, ready to embrace the changes and opportunities heralded by Kusama’s return to the spotlight.
