Hochul Announces $2 Million in Fair Marketing

Local fairs are experiencing a resurgence of interest.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a new $2 million marketing initiative Tuesday. The project will promote more than 50 county and local fairs across the state. It will launch television, radio, digital and billboard ads, as well as other promotions.

This new initiative will help increase attendance at state fairs and raise awareness in communities about how it supports local economies and showcases agriculture.

The initiative also adds county fair passports, which will encourage children and families to visit multiple fairs across the state this summer.
