Road accident caught on CCTV

A man has been given a suspended prison sentence following a road rage incident on the A55.

Paul Woodward, 55, of Melyd Avenue, Prestatyn, recently appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court following the incident on the eastbound carriageway of Rhuallt Hill in September last year.

CCTV footage shows Woodward, who was driving a white Citroen Berlingo van, hit the back of a silver VW Golf, sending it spinning across the road.

Woodward was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, and banned from driving for 18 months. He was ordered to complete 20 days of rehabilitation work, 150 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge.
