Chelsea offer Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu and Trevoh Chalobah to AC Milan

Chelsea have offered AC Milan the opportunity to sign Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu and Trevoh Chalobah.

Chelsea are looking to strengthen their squad for next season. While their priority is to add more quality to their ranks, the Blues are also looking to sanction the departure of several of their young stars. According to a report from HITC, the London club have offered Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu and Trevoh Chalobah to AC Milan.

Since the new owners took over the club, the Blues have spent a fortune on signing some of the best young players in Europe. This has had a huge impact on their finances and they need to ensure they do not fall foul of FFP rules. To keep control, they are prepared to allow a few departures.

Broja, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu and Chalobah leave the country

Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah are both academy graduates, their sales will result in a 100% profit on their books, which could be a big boost. Broja showed huge potential during his rise through the ranks, but he has failed to live up to expectations since his promotion to the first team. With the club keen to sign a new striker, they are ready to cash in on the 22-year-old.

Chalobah has had an impressive start to his career with the first team. But things have gone a bit off the rails and he has fallen down the pecking order. The 24-year-old has four years left on his contract with the English side, but they appear set to part ways with him as he is no longer part of their plans for the future.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Lesley Ugochukwu are also expected to be transferred this summer. The Aston Villa graduate has failed to integrate into the Blues’ first-team squad since joining in 2022, making just 27 first-team appearances so far. Ugochukwu arrived at the London club last summer from Stade Rennais.

The Blues invested a significant sum to bring the 20-year-old defensive midfielder to the club. He has struggled with injury and has only been on the pitch for just over 500 minutes across his 15 appearances. They do not appear to have a place for him in their squad in the future, therefore, they are looking for a buyer.

Chelsea were in talks with AC Milan over a possible transfer of Romelu Lukaku and during those discussions, the Blues offered Milan the opportunity to sign all four of them. While their arrival could surely strengthen the Italian club’s squad and the player also has a chance to play in the Champions League, it will be interesting to see if the club can afford such a deal when their financial situation is not optimal.
