Recreational programs offered at Summerland during the summer

Summerland Recreation and PacificSport Okanagan work in partnership to offer a variety of pop-up summer programs, summer camps and occasional events in the community during the summer.

A staff member has been hired to organize free activities in PacificSport Park, events in the skate park, Spikeball games, PLAY skills camps and more.

The list of events for the first three weeks of July has been posted on the municipality’s website and Facebook page. The list will be updated as events are added or weather challenges arise.

Registered sports camp programs are also available.

The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society will be participating in two Freestyle Friday Skate Park events. The brain injury society will be offering free helmet fittings, safety tips, watermelon, snacks, music and lawn games.

Additionally, the staff member will work with the Brain Injury Society’s Positive Ticket Program, offering positive ticket prices to those who wear helmets.
