Duo charged with carjacking and arrested by Find My iPhone app July 24

SDNY COURTHOUSEJuly 5 – Two men were charged with the armed carjacking of a BMW car in Harlem on June 14, 2024. They were apprehended when the “Find My iPhone” app located the car.

On July 3, the second defendant was arraigned before Judge Katharine H. Parker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in SDNY Mag Court, which Inner City Press covers closely.

Both men are now scheduled to appear before District Judge Gregory H. Woods on July 24 at 1 p.m.

The case is US v. Rivera, et al., 24-cr-412 (Woods/Parker)
