Pittsfield couple charged with drug trafficking after traffic stop in Taghkanic

Two Pittsfield residents face drug charges after traffic stop in Columbia County.

State police stopped a vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway in Taghkanic on July 2 around 7:20 p.m. for traffic violations.

Krista A. Chadwell, 37, and Jerome Grandson, 36, were allegedly in possession of 28 grams of cocaine, 9 grams of heroin and more than $2,300.

They were both charged with drug possession, tampering with physical evidence and criminal use of paraphernalia. They were arraigned in Claverack Town Court and released on bail. They are scheduled to return to court at a later date.
