Benfica make €30m offer to Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix after loan spell at Barcelona

Benfica have reportedly offered Atletico Madrid €30 million for 50% of Joao Felix’s rights as they attempt to bring the Portugal international back to the club.

Felix faces an uncertain future after his loan spell at FC Barcelona ended. He has said he wants to continue, but Barca are unsure if they can afford to keep him.

A return to Atletico Madrid also appears tricky, meaning Benfica could be a potential solution for the forward.

As expected, Diario Sport are much more enthusiastic about the whole situation and believe that Benfica and Atletico are “close” to an agreement for Felix.

It is not yet known whether Felix is ​​ready to return to Benfica. He is currently playing with Portugal’s Euro 2020 squad and is preparing for a quarter-final against Portugal.

Any deal will likely have to wait until after the tournament, although as things stand it seems unlikely he could continue at Barcelona for another season.
