Litify Announces Responsible AI Development Approach with AWS and Anthropic

This collaboration promotes the responsible development of AI solutions for the legal sector

NEW YORK, July 9, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Litify, the all-in-one enterprise legal platform for law firms and in-house legal teams, announced its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Anthropic to support the development of responsible AI solutions for the legal industry.

This responsible development approach was born out of the need to build AI capabilities using appropriate precautions tailored to the sensitive nature of legal information and the need to strengthen data security. Powered by AWS and Anthropic, Litify invested in a single-tenant architecture to keep customer information in a siloed environment. This unique design means that when customers access Litify’s AI capabilities, their information will remain inaccessible to other customers and will never persist in the AI model.

Litify is building its generative AI application using Anthropic’s Claude 3 family of models, which has set new industry standards for a wide range of tasks. Claude was selected because it offers optimal security without sacrificing accuracy and speed. It is also one of several top-performing models offered by Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that provides access to leading large language models with a single API call. This means that Litify’s entire AI application will be hosted entirely within AWS’s advanced cloud services, never exposing customer data to the wider internet and protecting it from misuse in open AI models.

Litify will release its roadmap of AI capabilities focused on improving document management efficiency this summer.
