The royal father-of-three has been frequently spotted at matches at the tournament, although he has made solo trips to cheer on the England national team.

Although William missed the semi-final against the Netherlands, he was present for the quarter-final, where he watched England triumph over Switzerland on penalties. The prince was seen cheering as he punched the air as England managed to force their way through.

The royal then went into the tunnel to congratulate the players after the match, including Bukayo Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold and John Stones.

After England’s stunning 2-1 win over the Netherlands, William enthused: “What a beauty, Ollie! Congratulations England! #EURO2024 W finalists.”

The Prince had some animated expressions

King Charles also sent a personal message, writing: “My wife and I join our whole family in wishing you our warmest congratulations on reaching the UEFA European Championship final – and our very best wishes for Sunday’s match.

“If I can encourage you to secure victory before you need last-minute goals or another penalty shootout drama, I’m sure the stress on the nation’s heart rate and blood pressure would be greatly eased! Good luck, England.”

Will George join his father at the tournament?

While William has been alone for his football appearances, at Euro 2020, which took place in 2021, the royal was joined by his wife and son, Prince George, for the final, but sadly, the Three Lions were beaten by the Italians in a penalty shootout.
