RuPaul’s Drag Race Announces ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars’ Coming to Paramount+, Meet the Ru-veal Global Cast!

Excellent news for Drag racing fans around the world! Today, Paramount+ announced an all-new series, featuring some of the most iconic queens from around the world. RuPaul’s Drag Race Global Stars will be broadcast on the platform from August 16, and it’s a series not to be missed!

Hosted by none other than THE RuPaulThe international cast of returning queens will also be judged by Michelle Face and choreographer Jamal Sims as they compete to earn a coveted spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

From Mexico to Australia, the Philippines to Sweden, and everywhere in between, these 12 fan favorites will compete for a $200,000 grand prize and the title of “Queen of the World of Mothertucking.”

Alyssa Edwards (UNITED STATES)

Alyssa Edwards is a legendary Texas drag queen with 23 years of experience. Alyssa is known for her candid conversations, tongue-lashing, quirky personality, and bold, grandiose, over-the-top drag aesthetic that embodies the spirit of Texas. Owner of Beyond Belief Dance Company featured in the series Queen of the danceAlyssa’s goal is the title of “Queen of the Mothertucking World.”

Athena Likis (Belgium)

Drag Race Belgium Season 1

Athena Likis is a Belgian drag queen and finalist of Drag Race Belgium Season 1. Performing for five years, her aesthetic is conceptual and avant-garde, drawing inspiration from fashion, science fiction, and mythology. Athena openly shares her story of overcoming a strict Christian upbringing and is ready to compete on the world stage, showcasing her enhanced skills and confidence.

Eva Le Queen ((Philippines)

Gala Varo, originally from Morelia, Mexico, has over 15 years of experience in show business and recently finished in the top four during her season. Originally a model, acrobat, and dancer, Gala later became a full-time drag performer. Inspired by artists like Salvador Dali, she is ready to represent Latin America on the world stage.

Kitty Scott-Christmas (United Kingdom)

Kitty Scott-Claus, a fun-loving London queen known for her humor and camp style, was a finalist RuPaul’s Drag Race in the UK Season 3. Kitty’s background in musical theatre and pantomime adds to her entertaining performances, and she’s thrilled to be competing on a world stage, bringing her vibrant personality and enhanced fashion sense.

Kween Kong (Australia)

Kween Kong, originally from Adelaide, Australia, is known for her powerful performances and Tongan-Samoan heritage. A finalist in her season of RuPaul’s Drag Race AustraliaKween is also a professional dancer and choreographer. Leader of the Haus of Kong, she is passionate about activism and intends to use this passion to win the crown.

Miranda Lebrao (Brazil)

Nehellenia from Rome, Italy was a finalist and Miss Congeniality in her season of Drag Race ItalyWith 11 years of drag experience, Nehellenia is known for her emotional yet strong personality. Having grown a lot since her last appearance, she is ready to compete on the world stage, bringing her mature and refined drag to the competition.

Pythia (Canada)

Pythia is a queen who blends historical and mythical elements into her drag, creating a unique and captivating style. Known for her creativity and attention to detail, she brings a fresh perspective to the competition. Pythia aims to impress global audiences with her innovative approach to drag.

Soa of Muse (France)

Drag racing in France Season 1

Soa de Muse, from Paris, France, finished in the top 3 on Drag racing in France. Arriving in Martinique at the age of 15, Soa discovered a love for theater and returned to France at the age of 20 to devote herself to performance. After discovering drag RuPaul’s Drag RaceSoa has become a versatile artist in singing, dancing, comedy and cabaret. She has performed throughout France, including iconic Parisian venues and co-founded the cabaret La Bouche. Soa’s drag is inspired by their Afro-Martiniquan culture, aiming to highlight the Caribbean community. Identifying as non-binary, Soa seeks to represent universal diversity.

Tessa Testicle (Swiss)

Drag racing in Germany Season 1

Tessa Testicle, originally from Basel, Switzerland, is known for her stunt queen performances and legendary lip syncs. Tessa’s drag name comes from a testicular torsion incident during her first performance in 2016. Bullied at school, she found acceptance in drag after discovering RuPaul’s Drag RaceA fashion design student, she created all of her looks for Drag racing in Germany and mixes glamour and exploration of gender identity, constantly surprising its audience.

Vain vanity (Sweden)

Drag racing in Sweden Season 1

Vanity Vain from Linköping, Sweden, finished third. Drag racing in SwedenBased in Stockholm, Vanity has been doing drag for eight years and describes her aesthetic as “very rock and roll, 80s, sex on legs.” Drag has saved her mental health, giving her confidence and Drag racing in Sweden allowed her to devote herself to drag full-time. Vanity loves performing and singing, but dreads comedic challenges. Known for her excellent makeup skills, she comes ready for the competition with sharp claws and polished shoes.

To celebrate the new global iteration of the iconic franchise, MTV and World of Wonder have partnered with All Out, an international organization that fights for LGBTQ+ rights around the world, by donating $100,000 to launch the new fund. “We are thrilled to partner with RuPaul’s Drag Race Global Stars on the “Drag Saves the World” fund,” said Matte beardExecutive Director of All Out. “This partnership is not only a celebration of drag culture; it is also a powerful statement of love, solidarity and support for LGBTQ+ people around the world who face violence and bigotry. The series will be available for streaming exclusively on Paramount+ on Friday, August 16 with two new episodes. The series will also be available on Paramount+ in Latin America, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria on Tuesday, September 20 and in France the following day, and in Japan later this year.
