Mattel Brings Lightning McQueen to NASCAR-Inspired Die-Casting Contest

On Monday, Mattel and NASCAR announced a six-car die-cast set featuring the latest version of Lightning McQueen from the Pixar film. Cars film franchise, as well as five cars with a distinctive NASCAR flavor. New characters on the scene include:

• Ryan “Inside” Laney (Ryan Blaney, driver of the #12 Ford for Team Penske)

• GoGo Logano – (Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Ford for Team Penske)

• William Byrev – (William Byron, driver of the #24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports)

• Carstin “Ace” Dillon (Austin Dillon, driver of the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet)

• Bubba’s Wheelhouse (Bubba Wallace), Driver of the #23 Toyota of 23XI Racing)

Blaney and Wallace’s characters made their film debuts in Cars 3 The new cars can be used with Mattel’s all-new track, the Disney Pixar Cars/NASCAR Lane Change Playset, which is a 2.5-foot track modeled after the Los Angeles racetrack used in the first Cars The metal cars are 1:55 scale and use NASCAR numbers and loosely mimic the color schemes of those used by the NASCAR drivers they represent.

Cars are sold separately and only available at Walmart.
