Products for the ultimate firehouse dayroom that I hope will go on sale for Prime Day

If you could rethink your station layout, would you make a few changes? The answer is probably yes. Maybe a new coffee maker, a bigger TV, or the best grill ever. Most of us have all sorts of ideas, but our to-do list is usually way longer than our budget allows. But every now and then, it’s fun to dream, and you never know: the perfect product might go on sale for Prime Day, making that dream a reality!

Here are some products for the ultimate firehouse living room that I hope will go on sale for Prime Day. Check out this list and think about how you would upgrade your space. What would you add to the list?

1. Amazon 75-inch Omni Series 4K UHD Smart TV

Your TV is probably the center of your living room at the station. Maybe it needs an upgrade! The good news is that flat-screen TVs have come down so much in price in recent years that you can buy plenty of TVs for a reasonable price. This 70-inch Amazon smart TV is a perfect example. It features Dolby Vision and 4K resolution, which means shades of color you don’t normally see will make your “workout” videos pop. Plus, it’s a smart TV with Alexa, so when the shift before you loses the remote again, you can use voice control to save the day!

2. Indoor/outdoor table for 6 people

Creating a table for your station with the department logo is a fun project to build agency pride—and it’s easy! Have a logo made by the department’s vehicle graphics provider, then apply it to the center of the table. Coat the table with a clear polyurethane finish, and you’ll have a custom table you can enjoy for years to come. This table is a great place to start. It has a solid wood top that’s just over 2 inches thick with steel legs. It’s probably pretty much firehouse-proof, and with the addition of the logo, it’ll look like it was built by you and your friends!

3. Leather recliner

There’s no denying that even a station with a slow call volume can get pretty busy during the day or night. You need a place to recharge between calls, so make sure a new recliner is on your wish list. This leather recliner has the added bonus of having a power recline motor and can lay back for sleeping. I know a lot of people who spend a lot of time sleeping in recliners at night, so make sure you get a recliner that’s made for that. Plus, this model has cup holders and a table for taking calls and getting work done, of course. It also has USB ports for charging phones, tablets, and more.

4. DeLonghi Combined Espresso/Coffee Machine

This coffee maker can be the best of both worlds: it can make regular drip coffee, but also espresso for the coffee connoisseurs in your department. Instead of listening to members complain about the coffee at the fire station, buy them this coffee machine and have them make lattes and other delicious drinks for the rest of your fire crew. It can even be justified by avoiding trips to the coffee shop with your machine! Fun fact: this machine can make drip coffee and espresso at the same time. The touchscreen can adjust brew settings and has a timer to make sure your coffee is ready when you are!

5. Roomba Floor Cleaning Robot

We all know that most of our daily chores involve sweeping and vacuuming the floors of our workstations. What if we had a fun little robot that did it for us? The iRobot Roomba Combo can map your living space, clean bathrooms, and empty itself! It even has sensing technology, so it knows what to look for as it moves around. Think of all the training you could go through if you didn’t have to clean floors. Sounds like an easy sell for management to me.

6. Blackstone Grill 36-inch 4-Burner Flat Top Grill

If you regularly grill on the grill or want to do more grilling, this flat top grill could be a great upgrade. The great thing about a flat top grill is that in addition to cooking meat like your current grill, it can also make pizza and breakfast. It’s kind of the Swiss Army knife of cookware. This model has four burners so you can adjust your cooking temperatures and multiple cooking zones. It also has three shelves to hold ingredients or utensils and a trash bag.
